Just 3 minutes away, we have: Chuy’s, Rudy’s BBQ, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Kerbey Lane Café, Cracker Barrel, Cover 3 and more. Jack Allen’s Kitchen has my favorite salad, the Country Club Fancy Chicken Salad; their pimiento cheese is the best I’ve ever had. While we’re not seafood enthusiasts, Wood Glen is also very close to Salt Traders Coastal Cooking, for the avid shell and scale lover. If you’re craving the famous yellow donuts from Round Rock Donuts, it’s only a 6 minute drive.
Wood Glen’s Amenities & Nearby Parks
To burn off all those calories from touring ‘Restaurant Row’, take advantage of Wood Glen’s amenities! Plenty to choose from: a junior Olympic-sized pool and covered baby pool, lighted tennis court, sport court, sand volleyball, children’s playscape, and hike and bike trails. We love grabbing our bikes and riding through the tree lined trails, or watching our boys burn energy on the playscape and swings. We’ve spent hours splashing and swimming in the enormous pool.
Other close-by outdoor activities include our favorite, Play for All Abilities Park, of which Baker Realty is a proud sponsor. Every section of this 51,000 square foot park helps all children develop specific skills. It’s a ‘must see’ in Round Rock, Texas.
If you want to move on to bigger fields, head to Old Settlers Park. This park’s 640 acres provides ample space for various activities. This is where our boys have run countless races in the Healthy Kids Running Series, enjoyed July 4th fireworks, and Christmas light drive-throughs.
Southwest Williamson County Regional Park (WILCO), an 8 minute drive from Wood Glen, has 800 acres and is heaven for the outdoor enthusiast: 8 tennis courts, 6 basketball courts, 2 softball fields, 11 soccer fields, football field circled by a 400 meter track, playscape, and trails. At WILCO, we love the Cedar Rock Railroad miniature train, especially when its decorated for Halloween, and the Quarry Splash Pad, especially during the heat of summer.

Delicious!
Right next door is Bass Pro Shop. Our boys love watching the bass and trout swim around in the 16,000 gallon aquarium. Couple of times, our boys have visited the Easter Bunny there too! Connected to Bass Pro Shop is our favorite place to bowl, Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill. The bowling alley is decorated like a huge aquarium, with tons of tropical fish and a sunken ship. Once you bowl here, you won’t go anywhere else!
For the chef in the home, an enormous HEB is just 5 minutes away from Wood Glen. Or grab carry out from one of the various restaurants right next door – Salata, Pei-Wei, Zoes Kitchen, Freebirds, Mimi’s Café, and more, including our favorite burger joint, MOOYAH Burgers.

With this being America’s largest indoor water park, we know we’ll be spending countless hours of family fun there. Can’t wait to make the memories!
