Round Rock Schools for Paloma Lake

Round Rock schools rank really well, and the ones for Paloma Lake are no exception!  Located in the Northeastern corner of the Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD), this beautiful community is currently zoned for three wonderful schools. Get the details below for Linda Herrington Elementary, Hopewell Middle, and Stony Point High School!

Linda Herrington Elementary School

kids drawing on chalkboard for elementary educationLocated within the neighborhood, this highly rated elementary school is close and convenient. It’s an easy walk, jog, or bike ride from home. And its academics are pretty good too – Herrington Elementary ranks better than almost 92% of elementary schools in Texas. Currently, there are approximately 1,129 students in attendance, with a student-teacher ratio of 16.3 to 1.

Fall 2021 in-person classes start Wednesday, August 18th. Enrollment is now open to become a Herrington Hawk! Documentation you’ll need for enrollment is a student’s certified birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residence within the school district boundaries.  The 2021-2022 school supply list is also now available.

Herrington Elementary has a special designation as a Spanish Language and Culture Institute. Students not only learn the Spanish language but also about Spanish speaking cultures. It’s never too early to learn another language!

Hopewell Middle School

Hopewell Middle, while not located in the community, is only an 11-13 minute drive from most homes in Paloma Lake. This school ranks better than almost 83% of middle schools in Texas. Currently, there are approximately 1,239 students in attendance, with a student-teacher ratio of 14.6 to 1.

Classes are starting soon, and enrollment is now open to become a Hopewell Hornet! The 2021-2022 school supply list, by grade, is now available. You may read up on their tardy policy, dress code and other Hopewell policies here.

Mark your calendars for August 12th and 13th! This is when you meet at Hopewell to obtain your class schedule and  find your class rooms!

6th grade – August 13th from 9:00am – Noon

7th grade – August 12th from 9:00am – Noon

8th grade – August 12 from 1:00pm-2:00pm

Stony Point High School

Stony Point is about a 10-11 minute drive from most homes in Paloma Lake. This school ranks better than almost 60% of high schools in Texas. Currently, there are approximately 2,667 students in attendance, with a student-teacher ratio of 15.9 to 1. Stony Point is an International Baccalaureate World School.

Stony Point’s Academies help prepare students for college and careers by the time they graduate from high school. Five different academies are offered:  Business and Industry, Health Science, Public Services, STEM, and Visual and Performing Arts.
