The Forest Creek neighborhood is located in Round Rock, TX, near Pflugerville and Hutto. This community stands on the eastern side of Round Rock in between IH-35 and SH-130. Forest Creek is a beautiful, suburban neighborhood that feels comfortable and clean the minute you drive up.

Local Restaurants near Forest Creek
Thai Spoon is a local spot serving up traditional Thai cuisine in a cool, modern space. Check out their selection of curries or drop by in the evening for a classic Thai dessert. Never had Thai food before? No problem. The staff here is friendly, and they’ll certainly help you find something on the menu that you’ll enjoy.
This taco joint has taken over the Austin area and, furthermore, is making its way all over the country! Incredible, gourmet tacos served with unique combinations. Try a fried avocado taco, or maybe their classic “trailer park” taco: “fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. Get it “trashy” – take off the lettuce and add queso. Above all, Torchy’s queso is a must-try.
Pho Viet is a Vietnamese restaurant serving all the classic dishes like pork belly pho and giant spring rolls. The space is low-key but don’t let that fool you, the food speaks for itself. Above all, whether you like mild or spicy, Pho Viet has something for everyone.
Salt Lick BBQ (at Dell Diamond)
Taste barbeque like you’ve never had before at Salt Lick. This barbeque joint got famous for slow-smoked meats using aromatic woods native to the region. This process resulted in a flavor-packed, tender, juicy product that helped make the restaurant a well-known name.
This local Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual shop serves hand-rolled pitas and sandwiches that will make your mouth water. Famous for their jalapeño ranch sauce (which goes great on everything), they’ve also made a name for themselves by offering free cookies with every meal on Fridays. Their offerings go beyond Mediterranean food, just in case you’re looking for something else. Pita Fusion has excellent food with friendly service.
Although java is typically associated with coffee, Cafe Java has much more to offer. More of a diner than a traditional coffee shop, this local spot started in Austin and has expanded to Round Rock. Their expansive menu includes anything you could want for breakfast or lunch, including tacos, omelets, pancakes, burgers, salads, and more.
Other Local Spots
What’s better than beer? Local craft beer. The Forest Creek neighborhood is just a short drive from Bluebonnet Beer Company, a local brewery dedicated to creating award-winning brews. This family-owned business operates out of a tiny space and focuses its efforts on brewing the best classic and contemporary beer styles, including Cream, Amber, IPA, Shandy, Helles, Hefeweizen, Dunkel, and Oktoberfest, to name a few.
First of all, Round Rock knows how to have fun. This water park is located in Old Settler’s Park next to Dell Diamond. The water is only open during the summer months, but also includes a Jump Wall, Dropslide, and Rock Climbing Wall. Season passes are available. In the Texas summer heat, is there a better way to cool off than at a water park? Relax in the lazy river and let the kids go wild.
Downtown Round Rock
You’re never too far away from downtown, and Forest Creek is only a few miles from this cultural hotspot. Downtown is home to bars, restaurants, entertainment, the library, and the famous Round Rock water tower. Have a lunch date with a friend here or a night out on the town.
Get outdoors and move at the Forest Creek Golf Club. This neighborhood is home to one of the most beautiful golf courses in Central Texas. Take advantage and learn the sport with lessons offered at the course, or instead, enjoy one of the many community events they hold here regularly.
