Are your kids wanting a photo with Santa? Thankfully, Bass Pro Shop in Round Rock, TX safely provides a free photo with Santa Claus through December 24th. We’re thankful that even during a pandemic, there are safe ways to still enjoy holiday events. Our boys love seeing Santa every year, and we’re so glad that this event wasn’t cancelled. Here’s a little bit about our experience at Santa’s Wonderland!
Seeing Santa is easy! First, you’ll want to make a reservation. Go online here, to pick a day and time that you’re available. Show up 5 minutes early. Social distancing in line is easy, as spots are marked on the floor where you should stand. An employee takes temperature screenings for anyone over the age of 10. Wear your face mask while in line but get ready to smile when they open the curtain, for then you get to see Santa!
Santa Claus has a clear shield between you and himself. Kids can easily talk with Santa and tell them about their Christmas list. He’s handing out individually wrapped candy canes, for children that love peppermint candy. Photos with Santa can be with just your kids or everyone in the family is welcome to sit on boxes in front of the shield and smile! One free photo is provided in the store. To purchase more, visit their website for various packages on their website. The digital image is $15; other packages range from $20-$30.
After your photo with Santa, children may mail a letter to Santa. Also, Bass Pro Shop provides a free ornament coloring kit of either a gingerbread or bass. If your children aren’t into crafts, there is a fun kids’ shooting gallery and archery area.
Since you’re already at the store, take a look at the 16,000 gallon aquarium in the back! Our boys always have to see the enormous fish tank anytime we’re in the store. It contains largemouth bass, trout, catfish, gar, crappie and smallmouth.
We didn’t make it this time, but if your kids like to bowl, you have to take them to Uncle Buck’s FishBowl, which is connected to Bass Pro Shop. It really is a unique, underwater ocean experience!
As 2020 is drawing to a close, we wish everyone a safe and wonderful Holiday Season. And as always, if you’re thinking of selling and/or buying a home, contact us today!
