Fear the Walking Dead brings Zombies to Round Rock, TX

YES! The AMC TV series, Fear the Walking Dead, brings zombies back to Round Rock. And, they’re ready to see what Round Rock has to offer!

Fear the Walking Dead’s First Visit to Round RockRound Rock water tower in downtown Round Rock, TX

I guess the zombies liked it here so much back in 2018 when they first visited, that they felt the need to sludge through the city again. Three years ago, Season 4 of AMC’s TV series Fear the Walking Dead was filmed in the Dell Diamond. The baseball stadium was transformed into a post-apocalyptic world. It was apparently quite the scene, although not open to the general public to observe filming. And now, they’re back!  I wonder what the zombies will do during their visit this time!

‘The Dead’ Visit an Athletic Community

I find it quite comical that slow walking, ‘dead’ creatures want to re-visit the Sports Capital of Texas. Guess zombies don’t realize that they need to be more athletic and in shape to use all the amazing facilities Round Rock has to offer! From the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex to the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, and from all that Old Settler’s Park has to offer outdoors and all that the Round Rock Sports Center has to offer for indoor sports…I’d assume zombies would want to skip this town! Maybe try a more slow moving area like a farm or a desert?

Zombies Like to Eat

But one thing Round Rock might be able to help zombies with is their choice in food. Maybe if they try some of Round Rock’s amazing restaurants, they won’t be tempted to eat people again. Here’s my suggestions. They need to have breakfast at Round Rock Donuts, which is world famous for their glazed, yellow donuts. Then, they should trudge to Main Street in downtown Round Rock. Go by the 3 Star Candy Shop for some sugary treats and then slop over to Star Coffee for an espresso shot. The sugar high and jolt of caffeine should provide zombies enough energy to get over to URBAN Eat.Drink for lunch on the patio. And if they still haven’t gone back to their old flesh eating habits by dinner, they could have a rare cooked burger at HopDoddy or a raw steak at Salt Grass.

If they’re not happy with Round Rock’s food selection, maybe they’ll like our our Texas friendliness. We could offer them somewhere to rest for the night. Although it may not be ‘rest’ in the sense that humans need rest, it might give them the chance to rest their bones and get off their feet for a little bit. Kalahari Resorts has spacious rooms and deluxe accommodations. The Ruby Hotel & Bar provides a cozy lounge and peaceful patio, overlooking Brushy Creek.

Could Round Rock, TX become Zombies’ Home Sweet Home?

With Round Rock embracing these slow walkers, maybe they’ll want to stay for good! Round Rock offers so many amazing neighborhoods for these creatures to check out. And Baker Realty is happy to help them settle down in a fabulous home. There are so many neighborhoods to choose from.

If the zombies are avid golfers, Forest Creek is a great option because of Forest Creek Country Club. The Teravista community also has a golf club, Teravista Golf Club. If they love newer homes, Siena, Mayfield Ranch, and Paloma Lake may be a right fit. And for older more established neighborhoods, Wood Glen, Hidden Glen, and Behrens Ranch are great Round Rock neighborhoods.

If they decide to stay and make Round Rock, TX their final resting grounds, Baker Realty is happy to help. Come February 2, the dead will be blazing a trail on Chisholm Trail Road! Traffic will be blocked between Old Settlers Boulevard and U.S. 79. So take alternate routes until the filming is done.

And beware…zombies will be zombies! So keep your eyes open and watch your neighbors’ back!
